The 6579 motor is outrunner, unlike inrunner motor, its waterproof process is totally different, some customers may ask why our motor is not fully potted, actually we did research before we build the outrunner waterproof motor, if the motor inside fully potted, the heat may cause glue swelling, and narrow the gap between stator and rotor, then stator and rotor may touch each other, so we design our own waterproof technique. This requires scheduale maintainance.
In order to increase the motor lifespan, please take apart the rotor and stator, clean stator and rotor with fresh water after every time use, must remove salt on the surface of magnets and lamination, then keep them all dry, after all dried, apply anti-rust paint or anti-corrossion protection on rotor and stator for maintainence.
